Eligibility
Domestic electricity connection, using up to 200 units/month on average (typically assessed over the previous six months), one live connection per household. Excluded: commercial, industrial, agricultural connections; joint/shared meters; multiple meters under one CNIC; and K-Electric consumers (Karachi isn’t covered — the program runs across the 11 PITC DISCOs).
What you need
Your CNIC, your electricity bill (for the reference number), and a PTA biometric-verified mobile number — the OTP goes there.
Registration steps
1. Go to css.pitc.com.pk (or scan the QR code on your bill). 2. Enter your bill reference number — if QR scanning fails, type it manually. 3. Enter your CNIC and mobile number. 4. Verify with the OTP. 5. Done — the protected tariff applies from the next billing cycle, automatically, every month.
